Christmas in Petts Wood

It happens all throughout the country, local councils put up Christmas Trees in towns and villages to welcome in the Christmas season, This tree is the one in Petts Wood over on the Queensway side - As you can see they have also erected crash barriers to keep back the hordes of people and stray dogs for getting to the tree, and are very efficient at doing their job. The post van in the background is full of Christmas cards and presents.

Mayday Bank Holiday run Locksbottom

You lot ride on the left and I'll ride on the right
Bikers meet at Locksbottom before the annual Mayday run to Hastings

Every part of this bike looked brand new and hardly ridden

Easy does it - 40 feet long, fully loaded and 1 mile per hour with just inches to spare the driver works his way up the road; if he hits one bike they all fall down

Me my brother and I

Mr Cool
The dirt specks on my top is because I fell over in the mud

We were like two little elves in the bluebell wood

Nanny put me on the slide so Granddad could take this nice picture
My brother came flying down the side really fast

Why fly thousands of miles to ride a Camel when you can ride one like this in the park. My hood is up not because I'm making a fashion statement but because its raining

The Day we went to Kelsey Park

The day we went to the park they took me along, I was good partly because there were no squirrel's to chase and I was kept on my lead

All I want for Easter is my

All I want for Easter is a new front tooth, The old one had been hanging by a thread all morning and came out soon after eating his dinner.
Pheobe was very happy with her new handbag, well it was pink so it had to be right. Both the children enjoyed the, before lunch Easter egg hunt in the garden. The morning started sunny, but soon the clouds rolled in so we had the Egg Hunt as soon as they arrived - well it is Easter after all. sure enough around 3pm the rain started more as a drizzle than a downpour.
Phoebe asked if Christopher had any Easter eggs and she rememberd he lives in Abu Dhabi, she hopes you had a good time. Phoebe is sending you all a flying kiss and wishes you a happy Easter, as do we.

Blooming Petts Wood

A host of Golden Daffodils
Magnolia flower head
The Magnolia tree in our garden
If Wordsworth was living in Petts Wood right now he would probably be reaching for his pen to scribble down a poem or two; Petts Wood at the moment looks blooming marvelous.

Spring is here at last

Its hard to believe that just a couple of weeks ago this little bunch were under the snow, when it melted they were completely flattened and look dead, a burst of sun soon bought them back to life, Spring has finally arrived

Phoebe's 4th Birthday

Phoebe's 4th Birthday pictures, and as usual she was in the Pink - "Pink makes the boys wink" she said, and when asked what do girls like most "diamonds and Money " was her cute reply, I think Jean had a hand in teaching her that! - the cake did not last too long and she managed to blow out the candles (one at a time) whilst Merlin played Tug of war with Phil over one of Ethan's Toys - the Toy came off worse.

Foxes

These two Foxes are basking in the sun at the bottom of the garden, he would nibble her ears and lick all around her mouth, she loved it and just kept her eyes shut, we think they live under Mary's shed and are often seen in the garden. The Male is at the back and both seemed to have a sore back left foot, no doubt little cubs will follow soon.
